We recently received some marvelous coffee samples from the Uraga district, located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Over the past few years, coffees from this area have become more common, although almost no one had heard of it before.

It was almost impossible to find a coffee from Uraga before. Until 2018, most coffee exported from Ethiopia passed through the state-owned Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. There coffee lost information about its specific origin and, probably, was sold simply as Ethiopia Sidamo Grade 1. All this changed a few years ago, as now many private processing stations are authorized to export coffee directly.

The coffee we chose comes from a processing station in the small town of Tebe Haro Wato in the Uraga district, Oromia region, in the south of the Guji zone. This area is home to several hundred small farmers whose homes and farms span the area between 1900 meters and 2150 meters above sea level. Farmers harvest coffee exclusively by hand and deliver it to the processing station immediately after harvesting. This lot's harvest period is from mid-October to the end of January 21st.

This lot has been prepared by the first grade standards, roasted, and is ready to delight you with its flavour.
