Miguel Menendez Sr. carries on his family coffee farming tradition of four generations, personally overseeing every detail of his seven award-winning farms and beneficio (coffee mill). The Menendez family are blessed with an incredible natural environment, ideal for growing amazing coffee.

Finca Helvetia is in the El Naranjito community, Ataco municipality, about 10 km from the capital Ayutepeque, at an altitude of 1380 meters above sea level. The plantation area is 35.29 hectares.

The climate on the territory of Helvetia in the mountains of El Salvador ranges from foggy and humid, during the winter season, from April to October (19°-33° C) to dry, cool and windy (10°-21­° C) from November to March. Helvetia produces an average of 75,000 pounds of green coffee for export.
