Tasting notes: Red apple, white grapes, caramel

Exceptional Mexican coffee made with love for people who want to enjoy their favorite beverage without caffeine and without compromising on taste.

Decaffeination with the solvent of methylene chloride is an ancient method of decaffeinating coffee and remains the predominant approach for decaffeination worldwide.

Methylene chloride is a colorless liquid chemical solvent with a slightly sweet odor and a boiling point of 104°F. It is a chemical solvent with various applications, including the removal of dye and hairspray.

The solvent decaffeination method is as follows:
First, coffee beans are exposed to steam to extract caffeine from the inside of the beans to the outside.
Methylene chloride is applied directly to the beans. As a chemical solvent, MC removes caffeine.
Steam is then applied to the coffee beans again to eliminate any remaining solvent.
Finally, the beans are dried and roasted, removing any further traces of the chemical solvent.
Any amounts of methylene chloride left in the brewed coffee would be less than one part per million (it's like 0.000001g for 1 drip bag).
