Kegwa Station is part of the Ngiriambu Cooperative, established in 1997 as a coffee and marketing company. Ngiriambu currently has 4,500 registered members to whom it continues to provide support and services, including coffee processing at its 2 stations, Kiri and Kegwa. The latter was established in 1979 and currently serves 1,900 smallholder farmers in the Njukiini area of Kirinyaga on the slopes of Mount Kenya. The station borders the Njukiini forest, so the climate is very cool all year round.

This area is characterized by bi-modal rainfall and temperatures ranging from 10 to 26 degrees. Long-lasting rains occur in March-May, just in time for the flowering period before the main harvest.

Kirinyaga is located on the southern slope of the country's highest mountain, Mt. Kenya (5199m). Due to its altitude (the farms are located at an altitude of 1,500-1,560 m above sea level), fertile volcanic soil and tropical climatic conditions, Kirinyaga coffee is considered one of the best in Kenya, characterized by a smooth body and bright acidity.

Nice for espresso

Beautiful coffee for espresso. Very tasty. We loved it from the beginning, and I personally love it for lattes.

Great service and delivery 👍
